About Me
If you want to check out my interactive resume with some of my projects and R Shiny applications, then you can go to my website at https://pascal-schmidt-ds.com that I created with R Shiny as well.
I am currently working as a data analyst for a gaming company in Vancouver.
I came to Vancouver in 2014 where I was a student-athlete at Simon Fraser University and received my Bachelor’s degree in statistics after a long time of finding the “right” studies.
I started this blog in January 2018, during my 4th year as an undergraduate student, out of a passion to learn new things and at the same time hoped to be able to teach others with my posts. After all, I think learning by teaching is very powerful. I also started my blogging journey as a way to be able to formulate my thoughts and look at my learnings over the years.
I hear, I forget. I see, I remember. I do, I understand.
Because I started out with the R language, this blog consists mainly of R related posts. You can find some Python in there too (you gotta dig deep though, hoping to change that), and also about my experiences regarding my internships, jobs, studies, and data science-related things.
If you want to have a look at my resume, you can find that here.
If you have any questions, feedback, or anything else you want to share with me, you can reach me at pascal.sfu@gmail.com
I am looking forward to connecting with you!
I hope you have fun exploring the content on this blog. Thanks for the visit!
